Are you seeking funding to commercialize your high-potential technology?
Join us on Monday, October 7 to learn about funding available through the Commonwealth Research Commercialization Fund (CRCF), a Commonwealth of Virginia program managed by the Center for Innovative Technology (CIT), as well as opportunities for SBIR and STTR support and seed- and early-stage investment through the CIT GAP Funds.
During this virtual session, CIT staff will introduce the CRCF, a multi-million dollar technology commercialization grant program that accelerates innovation and drives economic growth in Virginia. The team will discuss the FY2020 round, which includes programs available to higher ed, federal labs and other nonprofit research organizations, and the private sector. Topics will include eligibility criteria and the solicitation timeline, the Letter of Intent (LOI) – a revised approach this year, the application, and tips for strong submissions.
Additionally, Rob Brooke, CIT’s Director of Federal Funding, will provide an overview of upcoming and planned SBIR / STTR workshops and available support for Virginia organizations and Jen O’Daniel, Investment Director for the CIT GAP Funds, will discuss their family of funds, including the Virginia Founders Fund (VFF), which focuses on investments in women-owned, veteran-owned, or minority-owned start-ups, as well as start-ups located in traditionally underserved regions of Virginia.
